Every solid build starts with the right foundation - and we mean that literally. Before a single wall goes up, the site has to be cleared, leveled, and prepped properly. Skip that step and you're asking for problems down the road. We gravel-based this one out right, set the pressure-treated floor frame square, and made sure everything was dialed in before moving on.
Here's what we were working with - a wooded, sloped lot next to an existing block outbuilding. Not the easiest site to work on, but that's kind of the point. Anyone can build on flat, open ground. Getting a structure up clean on a challenging site takes real planning. The gravel pad we laid down handles drainage and gives the frame a stable surface to sit on - no slab required.
The framing and siding are on now, and this thing is really starting to take shape. Vertical board-and-batten LP siding with clean wood trim at the corners and roofline. The large double-door opening at the front is framed out and waiting on doors, and the window rough openings are cut and ready. Structurally, the bones are solid.
We're working right alongside the existing cinder block outbuilding on the property, and the two structures are going to complement each other well when it's all done. The new shed gives the owner dedicated storage space that the block building wasn't set up to handle. That's exactly the kind of outbuilding work we do - building what the property actually needs.
Roof is next, then doors and windows to button it up tight. We'll keep posting updates as this one wraps up. If you've got a property that could use more functional outbuilding space - whether it's storage, a workshop, or something else entirely - this is the kind of work we specialize in.
